Have you been thinking while you speak? 

Here’s an exercise to take this to the next level. Members of the Female Voice Club tell me it’s been very useful not only for their voice, but in their life as well.
I hope that’s true for you, too!

1. Type or write 3 things in your life you need to figure out.
They can be as simple as deciding where to go for dinner this weekend,
to something as big as your next career move or, how and when to come out to someone in your life.

2. Working with one situation at a time, list the specific things you need to figure out (for ex: When is the best time to have this conversation? How should I start it off?)

3. Write down your thoughts on the topic, so far. Read your thoughts out loud, while you are writing them: (at the same time, not afterwards). This may feel strange at first, but it’s a very effective way to train your brain. Go slowly, one sentence at a time. You’re writing your thoughts and reading them out loud as you write. Be vigilant and make sure you keep your voice in the upper middle. If you notice it drop, reset it with a half-sigh and continue. Do this several times a day.

4. After a few days you can replace your first 3 situations with new ones (this exercise may even help you figure them out more quickly!)
